Voting still continues at few polling centers

KATHMANDU, May 14: Though the time for voting has officially ended at 5 pm, the voting is still underway at few polling centers.

Election Commissioner Ishwori Poudel informed Republica online that the voters who are in the queue before 5 pm are allowed to cast their vote though the scheduled hour is over.


“Once the voting is over in all the centers of three provinces, we can officially announce the total turn out for the vote”, said Commissioner Poudel adding that the Election Commission (EC) is collecting the data from all 34 districts though the EC has projected of total turn out will be in between 75% to 80%.
