'Brand Nepal Go Local 2019' being held in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Dec 28: Hundreds of visitors have flocked to 'Brand Nepal Go Local 2019’, a Nepali brand carnival organized by Radio Nagarik 96.5 being held at Chhaya Centre, Thamel on Saturday.

The one-day carnival has begun from 11 am will end at 5 pm.

The participating Nepali brands have stalls displaying footwears by Dulla, Dochaa, Mely Designs; accessories by Pinches Artcore, Aamo Jewelers, Kolpa Bags, Bishrom, Nuga; art and souvenirs by Studio Sarcastic, Badge Nepal, Handicrafts Sumukhi, Kala Kathmandu; clothings by Shibori Nepal, Bora Bora, Looga Wears, Kallisto Designs, Joba, Ekadesma Collective, Lakhey Nepal; and food items by Wow, Dip In Donuts, Best Mad Honey and Danfe.

Likewise, artists from Circus Kathmandu, Nepal Hip Hop Foundation and more are at the carnival. Artha Band Nepal is performing live music at the venue; while there are many other fun games like human jenga, snakes and ladders, beer pong and more.

Organizing body told Republica Online that the event will help expand the market of Nepal-made products. According to the organizer, Nepali products are being sold with discounts upto 50 per cent . Coordinator of the event Presa Shrestha said that the event aims at promoting Nepali products and encouraging Nepali entrepreneurs.

Participating entrepreneurs, on the other hand, are also happy to have been the part of such a program. One of the entrepreneurs Rujala Dahal shared that the fair will help in branding the Nepali products.

Sponsored by Hero X Pulse 200, this is the second edition of the carnival. It was held for the first time in 2018.
