KATHMANDU, July 13: The viral load test for Hepatitis B could be done in Nepal now on. The test is a method wherein the level of viruses could be measured.
According to Sundar Khadka, microbiologist at the National Public Health Laboratory at Teku, the Lab has already carried out successful experimentation for the viral load test of Hepatitis B.

Earlier, the viral load test for Hepatitis B was done in India, said microbiologist Khadka, adding that the Laboratory has already prepared skilled human resources and technology for the same.
This method is expected to be very useful in rendering effective medical services to the patients as the condition of the patients and effectiveness of medicine to the patient.
The machine used for viral load test of Hepatitis B is approved by the World Health Organization, he shared. RSS
