According WOREC, Morang district accounts for receiving the highest number of cases related to violence against women.
Nineteen women became victims of violence with 10 related to beating and four domestic violence, she said.
In Kartik (mid Oct-mid Nov), WOREC reported 122 incidents of violence, she said, adding the number was however 187 in Ashoj (mid Sept-mid Oct).
Women activists say the government enacted law against domestic violence is still insufficient to control cases of violence against women and the guilty have been walking scot-free due to the slack implementation level.
