Thirty-five-year-old Nathuni Paswan was shot dead by Rambilas Yadav Tuesday night, after which villagers lynched 45-year-old Yadav.
Villagers say Yadav, who claimed association with an armed group, used to terrify villagers brandishing weapons and also used to misbehave with village women. [break]
The villagers were discussing Tuesday night how to stop people from terrorizing villagers and misbehaving with women when Yadav suddenly opened fire at Paswan, who died on the spot. Yadav then shot twice at Paswan´s younger brother Bechan.
Villagers took Yadav under control while he was reloading his gun and lynched him, according to Bisheswar Pawan, a local.
RSS reported that Yadav opened fire on Bechan during a meeting held to discuss his illicit relationship with a local woman.
Police recovered a homemade gun and 10 rounds of bullets from Yadav’s body.
Police rescue kidnapped person
According to RSS, Police rescued a man from the captivity of his abductors three hours after abduction Tuesday night.
A patrol team of the Armed Police Force (APF) under the command of Assistant Sub-Inspector Devan Chaudhari rescued 35-year-old Pratham Saha of Lahan Municipality-6 from the captivity of the abductors at local Balankhola on Tuesday night.
An unidentified group had abducted Saha when he had gone to drink water from a tap. Saha owns a shop at local Naya Bazaar.
Meanwhile, Gumasta Yadav, a 15-year-old boy who was abducted by an unidentified group on Monday evening has been found 24 hours after his abduction. Police said Yadav was found in the forest at Dhodhana VDC-3 on Tuesday evening.
Two abductors have been arrested and the remaining abductors have also been identified, the police said.
