She paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the establishment of a democratic republic and expressed deep respect for those who were injured or disabled during the struggle.
Ghimire emphasized that everyone must take responsibility for institutionalizing the republic by enforcing the Constitution and upholding the federal, secular, proportional, and inclusive principles it sets forth.
She stated, "The day when the popularly elected Constituent Assembly abolished the monarchy and secured people's rule marks more than just a shift in governance. It stands as a historic moment for political, economic, social, and cultural transformation. The republic must bring meaningful and positive change to people's lives and guide Nepal towards becoming a strong, self-reliant, and developed nation with a resilient economy."
Ghimire also cautioned against recent attempts to attack the republic and steer the country back towards autocratic rule. She firmly asserted that Nepal will not revert to such a system.
