“We have been terrorized by Hasposa incident,” Ganesh Padhan, the secretary of Bishnupaduka, said.
The KJWP had written a letter to the VDC secretaries demanding Rs 300,000 from each of them. “They keep calling and asking for money but we cannot give such huge amount without consulting the parties,” Pradhan said.
Chairman of VDC Secretaries´ Welfare Center Bhawani Prasad Dhamala blamed the government for not being able to provide security to the secretaries.
“How can secretaries work when they are being threatened and VDC offices are being set ablaze?” Dhamala questioned.
Local Development Officer Prem Prasad Bhattarai also said that the VDC secretaries have moved to the district headquarters due to donation terror and insecurity.
