KATHMANDU, May 1: The government has appointed Vice Chancellors to Purbanchal University and Midwestern University.
Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Universities Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday appointed Prof Dr Dhruva Kumar Gautam as the Vice-Chancellor of the Midwestern University and Prof Dr Vijukumar Thapaliya as the Vice-Chancellor of the Purbanchal University, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat.
Following an announcement by the Prime Minister that the vice-chancellors would be appointed on the basis of merit-based competition, Gautam and Thapaliya were selected and appointed as Vice-Chancellors through an open competition.
