The CDOs likely to issue extension of ongoing prohibitory order by this evening
KATHMANDU, Aug 25: Amid rising number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the past few days, the three District Administration Offices (DAOs) in the Kathmandu Valley have been asked to extend the ongoing prohibitory order in Kathmandu Valley for another week.
A joint meeting of District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centers (DCCMCs) of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts held earlier on Tuesday decided to recommend the DAOs in Kathmandu Valley to extend the prohibitory order until September 2.
The Chief District Officers (CDOs) of three districts are preparing to issue a fresh notice about the extension of the prohibitory order that expires on Wednesday midnight. Sources said the CDOs are currently holding consultation with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) to issue a fresh notice, according to sources at the MoHA.
