KATHMANDU, Feb 5: The government has justified its decision to make it mandatory for people to carry vaccination cards to avail public services in order to accelerate its campaign to vaccinate every citizen against COVID-19.
Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) Dr Sangita Mishra said the government was forced to make the decision after people stopped showing up for vaccines against COVID-19. She said that people have started to throng the vaccination centers after the decision was implemented.

The MoHP has also made arrangements necessary to ensure easy access to vaccines by setting up vaccine distribution centers near public service offices.
The MoHP has been repeatedly appealing to all citizens to fully comply with the health safety standards and get vaccinated against COVID-19. Dr Mishra also claimed that there would be no shortage of vaccines.
