"Rather than direct funding from the US, we will mobilize aid agencies like USAID, the World Bank (WB) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) for development here," Rajendra Kumar Shrestha, Sindhupalchowk chapter president of FNCCI, quoted Timothy Trenkle, political and economic section chief at the US embassy.
During their meetings with local business leaders, the US embassy officials also expressed their concerns over the sorry state of the Araniko highway.
