US envoy meets Nembang, Khanal

KATHMANDU, Nov 2: US Ambassador to Nepal Scott H. DeLisi met Constituent Assembly Chairman Subash Nemabang and told that his country is ready to support for peace process and constitution-drafting.



Talking to reporters after the meeting with Nembang at Singha Durbar, DeLisi said that the US government will respect the endeavour of Nepali people to complete peace process and statute-writing. [break]



Discussions were held on peace process, constitution drafting, new government formation and other contemporary issues, said Nembang after the meeting.



In the meeting, DeLisi told that the US government will support to any party that will lead a new government as it is people´s right to form a government, Nembang said.



The US envoy also expressed hope that army integration will complete within four months.



Meanwhile, DeLisi also met CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal. In the meeting, Khanal told the American envoy that his party has been trying all it can for national consensus.



In response, DeLisi reiterated the US commitment to support constitution drafting and peace process.
