KATHMANDU, Jan 30: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar continuing to rise. The buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 138.14, while the selling rate has been set at Rs 138.74.
Similarly, the value of the Chinese yuan, Saudi Arabian riyal, Qatari riyal, Hong Kong dollar, Kuwaiti dinar, and Omani riyal has also gone up. However, the Euro, UK pound sterling, Swiss franc, Australian dollar, Canadian dollar, Singapore dollar, Japanese yen, Malaysian ringgit, South Korean won, Swedish krona, and Danish krone have depreciated. Meanwhile, some foreign currency rates have remained stable.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, one Euro is being bought at Rs 144.05 and sold at Rs 144.68, while one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 171.78 and sold at Rs 172.53. Similarly, one Swiss franc is being bought at Rs 152.46 and sold at Rs 153.12, one Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 86.32 and sold at Rs 86.69, one Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 95.86 and sold at Rs 96.28, and one Singapore dollar is being bought at Rs 102.19 and sold at Rs 102.63.

The exchange rate for ten Japanese yen stands at Rs 8.89 for buying and Rs 8.93 for selling. Meanwhile, one Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 19.05 and sold at Rs 19.13, one Saudi Arabian riyal is being bought at Rs 36.83 and sold at Rs 36.99, and one Qatari riyal is being bought at Rs 37.89 and sold at Rs 37.77.
The exchange rate for one Thai baht stands at Rs 4.08 for buying and Rs 4.10 for selling, while one UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 37.61 and sold at Rs 37.77. Similarly, one Malaysian ringgit is being bought at Rs 31.45 and sold at Rs 31.58, one hundred South Korean won is being bought at Rs 9.56 and sold at Rs 9.60, one Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 12.55 and sold at Rs 12.61, and one Danish krone is being bought at Rs 19.30 and sold at Rs 19.39.
Additionally, the exchange rate for one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 17.73 for buying and Rs 17.81 for selling, while one Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 447.98 and sold at Rs 449.93.
The exchange rate for one Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 366.42 for buying and Rs 368.01 for selling, while one Omani riyal is being bought at Rs 358.81 and sold at Rs 360.36. The exchange rate for one hundred Indian rupees is Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. Commercial banks may set different exchange rates, and the latest rates will be available on the central bank’s website.
