KATHMANDU, July 28: The US Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu has arrived in Kathmandu on a two-day visit to Nepal.
Lu is scheduled to fly back home on Friday evening after holding meetings with business, civil society, and government leaders. He will call on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and hold a meeting with Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka.
US Assistant Secretary Lu arrives in Kathmandu
According to the US Embassy in Kathmandu, Assistant Secretary Lu will also hand over the U.S. Secretary of State’s Award for Corporate Excellence (ACE) to Purnaa, a U.S. manufacturing company in Nepal that promotes ethical manufacturing by empowering traditionally marginalized people and survivors of exploitation.
