KATHMANDU, Dec 8: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday. Lu arrived in Kathmandu as part of his diplomatic tour of South Asia.
Informing that he has arrived in Nepal, the US Embassy in Nepal has written, “The US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, is welcomed to Nepal. During his visit to South Asia, he is scheduled to hold a courtesy meeting with the leaders of the Nepal government in Kathmandu and interact with the civil society.”

The embassy mentioned that Lu’s visit will strengthen US-Nepal relations. Similarly, Lu will conclude his trip in Nepal, engaging with senior leaders on environmental protection, women’s empowerment and sustainable development, while also emphasizing the importance of cultural preservation.
