The Ministry of Urban Development has decided to transfer the Director General of the DUDBC Ramchandra Dangal to the ministry and replace him with Surendra Mohan Shrestha. With this, the Director General has been changed four times in the DUDBC since last year.

Navaraj Pyakurel was the Director General at the DUDBC last July. Pyakurel was transferred to the High Powered Committee for Integrated Development of the Bagmati Civilization after Padam Mainali was appointed as the DG of the DUDBC in October 2021. In May 2022, the ministry appointed Ramchandra Dangal as the Director General of the DUDBC. While Dangal was transferred to the ministry, Shrestha was appointed as the DG of the DUDBC on Thursday.
