A cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to appoint Upreti, who has already served as chairman of TU Service Commission, for the remaining five days of the commission immediately after Tiwari tendered his resignation, citing family reasons. [break]
In his resignation letter, Dr Tiwari has also complained that the High Level Political Committee (HLPC) and the government have been turning a deaf ear to the suggestions made by the Commission to resolve constitutional difficulties.
