With Dashain approaching ever so close, IIMS College organized their annual ‘Dashain Carnival and Nepal Food Festival’ with the slogan ‘Uniting Nepal through a plate’ at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
Eating junk food is bad for health!
According to a press statement released by IIMS College, the event had a variety of stalls that brought together the taste of seven different provinces at a common venue. Delicacies such as bhakka from Terai, Kathmandu’s Newari khaja, dupka and chhach from far west and various Palpali dishes were available in the food stalls. The program also featured various cultural activities such and dance, and music, among other events.
Kumari dance, Dhime dance, Lakhe dance, Maruni, and Kaura performances entertained the guests present in the event. In addition to the cultural performances, a live musical performance by Kenjal and Band, and Monkey Temple helped create a musical ambiance.
