Unified Socialist registers first win in Achham

ACHHAM, Nov 23: Sher Bahadur Kunwar of the CPN (Unified Socialist) has won the House of Representatives (HoR) election from Achham constituency no. 1.

ACHHAM, Nov 23: Sher Bahadur Kunwar of the CPN (Unified Socialist) has won the House of Representatives (HoR) election from Achham constituency no. 1.

Kunwar, who is also the Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, got elected by securing 19,534 votes against his nearest rival Jhapat Bohara of CPN-UML who got 15,045 votes, according to the Office of the Chief Election Officer. Likewise, independent candidate Rajan Kunwar garnered 4,392 votes.
