KATHMANDU, Aug 27: United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on Thursday launched global storytelling contest, Voices2Paris, which aims to raise public awareness on the negative impacts of climate change as well as on the opportunities and solutions seen in actions by individuals and governments across vulnerable developing countries worldwide.
UNDP targets journalists not more than 35 years old from developing countries who are already engaged in public writing and want to contribute toward greater public awareness on the subject of climate change, according to a press statement issued by the UNDP Office in Kathmandu.

The best stories will be published every day from November 2nd to 29th on UNDP and partners' sites. The authors of the top two prize winning stories will be invited to attend and cover the COP21 UN Climate Summit in Paris this December.
Stories can be submitted in English or in Arabic, Chinese, French and Spanish (with an English translation), on a rolling basis until October 11, 2015.
