The club will bag a purse of Rs 150,000 along with the winner´s trophy, medals and certificates.

Khumaltar had finished the C Division League held a few months ago in third position, and thus failed to climb to B division. Former national player Pradip Maharjan is the coach of Khumaltar.

Khumaltar President Sahadev Rawat expressed happiness over the club´s achievement. "We failed to materialize our dream of making it to the B division this year. But I am happy that we became C division champion," Rawat said, adding, "The achievement is the result of hard work of the players, coach and the club."

According to Rawat, the club established in 2063 BS has set a target to get promoted to B division next year. "We were aiming to climb to second division, but we failed this year. Now we will prepare for the next season."

Shree Kumari finished the National League as the runner-up, as in the C Division League. Shree Kumari defeated Barda Football Club of Dolakha 2-0 in the last match of the league for a second-place finish. Binoj Rai netted twice for the winning side.

C Division League winner Satdobato Yuva Club finished the National League in the fourth position, while Samaj Kalyan finished third.

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has conducted the National Leagues of A, B and C division football to provide opportunity to district teams to compete in the National League. Altogether six teams -- the top four teams of Martyrs Memorial C Division League and two teams selected from the district league -- had competed in the C Division National League. UNBC of Dang and Barda of Dolakha were the two teams to qualify from the district league. Barda finished fifth in the National League, while UNBC finished at the bottom of the table without a single point.

Runner-up Shree Kumari received a purse of Rs 75,000, while third and fourth position holders Samaj Kalyan and Satdobato received Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.

Similarly, the best players in four different positions -- goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward -- and the best coach will be awarded Rs 10,000 each, a press statement issued by ANFA said.
