According to him, the bill has made provision for a fine ranging from Rs 50 thousand to 150 thousand on those people involved in the unauthorized use of pesticides.

The meeting rejected with a majority the protest notice presented by lawmaker Prem Suwal on the proposal tabled earlier by the Minister seeking consideration on the bill.

Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives unanimously approved the proposal seeking consideration on the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts, 2075.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal had presented a proposal earlier in the meeting seeking consideration on the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts, 2075.

Six lawmakers had taken part in the discussions held on the principles of the bill. Responding to lawmakers’ questions regarding the bill, Minister Dhakal said the bill has been brought as several Acts have to be amended to make them consistent with federalism and the new constitution.

The next meeting of the House of Representatives will take place at 1 pm on January 6. RSS
