KATHMANDU, March 21: The United Nations (UN) on Tuesday canceled the previous English language test conducted to select Nepali security personnel for the deployment in the UN peacekeeping missions after they found the questions were leaked two hours before the examinations on March 16.

The team has now scheduled reexaminations for March 24 (Friday).

The UN had sent an international team to test the qualifications of the security personnel but the question papers of the examinations were leaked two hours before the examinations held at the headquarters of the Armed Police Force (APF) at Halchowk.

The examinations were held for selecting Nepal Police and APF personnel for the peacekeeping missions. To maintain confidentiality of the questions, the UN sends question papers, audio and other test materials with the team it deploys.

The candidates have to sit for tests in English, driving and use of firearms. There is also an interview. The APF headquarters was selected as the center for English language test on Wednesday and the English questions were leaked just ahead of the examination.
