Addressing a meeting held at party head office Balkhu, the standing committee members of the party also discussed ways to assist formation of CJ-led government. [break]
"The leaders expressed worry if the CJ led government would materialize,” said party vice-chairperson Bidya Bhandari.
Earlier, senior leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel had objected to the party´s decision to go for CJ-led government.
“There is no dispute in the party on the issue of CJ led government,” claimed party secretary Yubaraj Gyawali informing that the leaders have now focused their attention to holding fresh election.
He said the leaders during the meeting expressed their views on the document prepared by the joint taskforce of the major political parties. The taskforce comprised representatives of the UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Unified Democratic Madhesi Front.
“The leaders expressed their views on problems in citizenship distribution and voters´ list for fresh election,” said Gyawali. The meeting will continue at the party head office in Balkhu on Wednesday.
