RAJBIRAJ, Sept 21: CPN (UML) has emerged victorious in Saptakoshi Municipality of Saptari district in the third phase of local level election held in September 18.

The third phase of local level election was held in 8 districts of province no 2 including Saptari.
Uttam Sharma of the CPN (UML) has been elected to the post of Mayor with 3,029 votes. His nearest rival Dhruba Karki of CPN-Maoist Centre got 1,883 votes, according to Returning Officer Rajendra Lamsal.
Similarly, Asha Chaudhary of the UML got victorious to the post of Deputy Mayor receiving 3,226 votes. (RSS)
