BHAKTAPUR, May 30: CPN-UML has won both mayoral and deputy mayoral posts in Changunarayan Municipality.
CPN-UML candidate Som Mishra has been elected as the mayor and Bina Bastola as deputy mayor of the municipality.
Mayor Mishra has secured 8, 512 votes while Deputy Mayor Bastola got 8,739 votes.
Mishra’s closest rival Raja Ram Khadka of Nepali Congress got 6,869 votes while Bastola’s immediate rival Saru Baniya of the same party got 7, 476 votes.
