UML submits expenditure of by-election

KATHMANDU, May 7: CPN-UML has submitted a report on its election expenditure in the by-election held in Baglung Constituency -1 on April 11.

As per the details submitted by the party, it spent Rs 846,005 in the by-election. The party submitted the report to the District Election Office, Baglung on Wednesday, said Baburam Acharya, officer at the office.


With this the party has become the first one in submitting the details of election expenditure. The by-election was held after the then lawmaker elected from the Baglung constituency-1 Hari Bahadur Khadka died in a road accident.

Nepali Congress candidate Champa Devi Khadka, wife of late NC leader Hari Khadka, won the by-election by garnering 17, 154 votes.

Total of 13 candidates representing 10 different political parties and one independent had contested in the by-election. RSS
