UML’s first Sudurpaschim Province Convention begins today

KATHMANDU, Oct 8: The inaugural convention of the CPN-UML in Sudurpaschim Province is commencing today. UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to visit Dhangadhi for the convention's inauguration.

Representatives from all nine districts of Sudurpaschim Province have gathered in Dhangadhi to participate in the convention, with more arrivals expected.

About 675 representatives elected by more than 53,000 organized members will participate in the two-day convention.

The primary agenda of the convention is the election of new leadership. There are three aspirants for the provincial chairman of the party - Kamal Timilsina, Krishna Prasad Jaisi and Bachhan Singh.
