UML leader Nepal urges for support to election

BIRGUNJ, March 25: Senior leader of the CPN-UML, Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said that all should provide positive support to election as the country has moved ahead in the election process.



At a news conference organized by the Press Chautari Nepal, Parsa, here on Monday, Nepal said that now the path of election has been opened after the Election Commission got a full-shape.[break]



The CPN-UML leader said that it was our common responsibility to make the election a success.



Stating that election is the basis of democracy of Nepal, he said nobody would forgive the political force in Nepal´s history, which puts hurdles on various issues in getting approval from the people including the voters´ list.



Nepal said the country should be taken in a positive way by holding election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) within second or third week of June and added that his party was ready to provide all types of support for free and fair elections.



He stressed on the need of creating atmosphere of free and fair election by scrapping decisions and political appointments made by Baburam Bhattarai-led government that affect the election.



The former Prime Minister said the CPN-UML is sensitive for rights, respect and self-esteem of the Dalits, Madhesis, indigenous communities as well as the backward classes.
