KATHMANDU, July 5: The main opposition party CPN-UML has demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal during the meeting of the National Assembly on Wednesday.

Devendra Dahal, leader of the CPN-UML parliamentary party in the National Assembly, objected to the statement made by Prime Minister Dahal, who, while releasing a book penned by entrepreneur Pritam Singh last Sunday said that Singh had visited Delhi several times to make him the Prime Minister. Then the opposition party  demanded the PM’s resignation.

Devendra Dahal said that he would not allow the parliament session to continue unless his demands are met. He repeatedly said that Prime Minister Dahal is not acceptable to his party because PM Dahal was made the Prime Minister under India’s blessings.
