'UML committed to implement deal'

KATHMANDU, June 16: Chairman of the CPN-UML Jhala Nath Khanal on Wednesday said his party is mainly responsible for the implementation of the three-point agreement signed among the three major parties on May 28, just minutes before extending the CA term.



Inaugurating a national gathering organised by UML’s Central Publicity Department, he stressed on immediate implementation of the pact to expedite the peace process and constitution-drafting.[break]



At the function attended by journalists from main media houses, members of UML-affiliated Press Chautari Nepal and party leaders, he urged mediapersons to help defeat those against the constitution and peace and ensure the victory of people through their writing.



He also said the role of media is significant to take the ideological plans and principles endorsed by the party’s eighth general convention to the general people.



On the occasion, chief of UML’s publicity department Pradeep Gywali said the Constituent Assembly should be utilized to the fullest for the transformation of the society through peace.
