KATHMANDU, July 12: Liu Jianchao, Foreign Department Chief of the Communist Party of China (CPC) who is on a visit to Nepal, had a courtesy meeting with CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday.

A delegation led by Liu reached Oli's residence in Balkot for the meeting. During the meeting, relations between the two countries and issues of mutual interest were discussed, according to Oli's secretariat.

Liu has already met with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka and Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

CPC Foreign Department Chief Jianchao, who is on a four-day visit to Nepal, is also scheduled to meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
