A group comprising four to five people tried to set Khanal´s house with corrugated zinc roof on fire after spraying petrol at around 11 p.m. on Sunday, it is stated. "We saw the ground floor on fire when we woke up after hering voices warning that the house has been torched," said Harikala Rimal who stays in the house.[break]
The fire was brought under control by three families staying at the house. Police have been stationed at the house since last night following the arson. The fire has damaged the ground floor of the three-storey house. Ilam Police said they are searching for the culprits.
