KATHMANDU, July 19: The central committee (CC) meeting of the main opposition party CPN-UML is currently underway in the capital.
The CC meeting started at 11 AM at the Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation building in Chyasal, Lalitpur.

The meeting is expected to focus on taking action against those party members voting to Nepali Congress (NC) prime ministerial candidate Sher Bahadur Deuba against the party’s official decision on Sunday.
On Sunday, as many as 22 UML lawmakers voted in favor of Prime Minister Deuba when he took a vote of confidence in parliament. However, a standing committee meeting of the party had decided to vote against Prime Minister Deuba.
Meanwhile, the Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction of the UML has boycotted the meeting today.
