UML candidate defeats Jhala Nath Khanal in Ilam-1

ILAM, Nov 27: Senior leader of CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal has been defeated in his quest for a seat in the House of Representatives from Ilam Constituency-1.

ILAM, Nov 27: Senior leader of CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal has been defeated in his quest for a seat in the House of Representatives from Ilam Constituency-1.

According to the vote count result published by the Election Commission, CPN (UML) district chairman Mahesh Basnet defeated Khanal by 2,957 votes.
