UML cadre Kul Bahadur Shrestha of Arubote Village Development Committee (VDC) of the district was apprehended with a home-made gun Thursday.
He was taken under control with the help of villagers while he was chasing Unified CPN (Maoist) village committee member Mahendra Shrestha threatening the latter to take life at gunpoint.
Meanwhile, Rajesh Nepali of Khalanga of Pyuthan was arrested with four home-made guns and one kg of gunpowder.
Nepali was taken under control from his own house, said District Police Office. Arrested Nepali and Shrestha have been put in jail for further investigation.
