KATHMANDU, Sept 27: The election schedule of CPN-UML Bagmati Province Committee has been revised.

According to the changed schedule, nominations will be registered from 4PM to 6PM and the preliminary list of election candidates will be published at 7:00 PM.

Similarly, it is mentioned that the final list of candidates will be published at 8PM. Election is said to start from Thursday morning.

The process of nomination of candidates is underway with the effort to reach a consensus for the selection of new leadership from the session of the first Bagmati Province Committee of CPN-UML.

The electoral roll was published a few hours later than scheduled for the election process at the party's central office, Chyasal.

Sher Bahadur Tamang, a member of the presiding committee of the closed session, said that the presiding committee had discussed a phase to try to reach a consensus among the possible candidates for the chairmanship, and said that the nomination registration program will be held at 2PM and after that, there will be an attempt to reach a consensus. Aspirants Keshab Raj Pandey, Kailash Dhungel, Krishna Prasad Dahal and Sanukumar Shrestha participated in the discussion.

For the closed session, a presiding committee has been formed under the leadership of Guru Baral, the in-charge of the committee, including members such as Tamang, Devi Gyawali, Pokharel, Gokul Prasad Baskota, Kamal Chaulagain, Rameshwar Phuyal, Krishna Bahadur Rai, Sushila Nepal, Parbat Gurung, and Ranta Gurung.
