Altogether 127 runners from 27 countries have participated in the three-day event. [break]
The marathon kicked off from Dhunche on Saturday and will finish at the same venue after covering a distance of 100-km. In total 79 foreigners and 22 Nepali have participated in the tournament.
The tournament is organized to promote Nepal Tourism Year 2011.
Kumari club honors sponsors
Kumari Club honored its sponsors for their campaign in the ongoing Martyrs Memorial Red Bull B Division League Football Tournament amidst a function in the capital.
Senior actor Haribansha Acharya handed over letters of appreciation to about two dozen supporters of the club on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Acharya wished success for the club in future and also extended his greetings of Vijaya Dashami.
Apart from football, Kumari Club is also actively involved in different social services and also in martial arts.
Sanubabu Prajapati, the president of Kumari Club urged the locals to support the club.
He also informed that of the total Rs 900,000 they need to participate in B Division, the club has already collected Rs 600,000.
Dangol, Singh´s pair lift title
Yomesh Dangol and Rajan Singh´s pair on Saturday lifted the trophy of Third Flex Badminton Tournament held at Flex Fitness Center, Nakkhu.
The pair beat Sunil Shakya and Sanjay Dhakal 21-18, 21-20 in group A final. In group B final, the pair of Sangha Ratna Shakya and Mukunda Thapa defeated the pair Sachendra Joshi and Manoj Shakya in two straight sets.
In the demonstration game, pair of Dhurba Bahadur Pradhan and Ramesh Kumar Shrestha overcame Dhurba Kumar Shrestha and Topendra Dhoj Hamal 20-22, 21-6, 24-22. The tournament featured only men´s double event with 23 pairs in total.
