UK ambassador to Nepal calls on newly elected PM Dahal

KATHMANDU, Aug 5: The United Kingdom's ambassador to Nepal Richard Morris, along with Gail Marzetti, head of the Department for International Development (DFID) Nepal today called on the newly elected Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter's private residence in Lajimpat.
On the occasion, Ambassador Morris congratulated Dahal on his election to the post of Prime Minister and wished for successful tenure.
In return, a statement released by Dahal's secretariat said that Dahal said he and his government would work in taking friendly relations between Nepal and the UK at a new height and expressed his desire to work together ahead with the UK.
Dahal also thanked Morris for congratulating him by himself and on behalf of the people of the UK.
Likewise praising the support the DFID extended to the development of Nepal, Dahal expressed belief that such helps would come in in the future. RSS
