UDMF paints ‘Madhes government’ on govt offices’ signboards

LAHAN, Nov 24: The United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) in protest since 100 days against the new constitution and delineation of provinces has launched a campaign to paint ‘Madhes government’ on signboards of government offices in the district.

On Tuesday, the cadres wrote ‘Madhes government’ replacing ‘Nepal government’ on signboards of Inland Revenue Office, District Road Division Office, Zonal Transportation Management Office, Land Survey Office, Nepal Electricity Authority and Land Revenue Office among others.


Chief of Area Administration Office, Lahan Ranjit Adhikari said the protesters had already left when they were informed.

UDMF leader Prayag Lal Yadav said the campaign is a part of protest plan of the front.
