An unidentified group comprising five people shot Harischandra Chaudhary and fled the scene. According to Chief of Area Police Office Tulsipur, Tul Bahadur Karki, the UCPN(M) cadre was at his Dhamkapur-based residence in Duruwa VDC 6 when he suffered a gun attack. [break]
Chaudhary is seriously injured in the attack and is undergoing treatment in Rapti Zonal Hospital. Following the attack, police have launched a manhunt to nab the attackers.
