UCPN (M) to vie for Vice President

KATHMANDU, Oct 24: The major ruling partner UCPN (Maoist) has decided to file the candidacy on behalf of the party for the post of the Vice President.

The party's Standing Committee (SC) meeting held Saturday decided to contest for the post of the new Vice President. However, the name of the candidate has not been finalised yet.

The party is waiting for the candidacies for the post of President from other parties to take a decision on the party's candidacy for the Vice President, said party Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha after the meeting. RSS
