UCPN (M) CC meet continues deliberations on political document

KATHMANDU, Dec 6: UCPN (Maoist) leaders, speaking in the party's central committee meeting today, underlined the need for reforms in the party saying it has deviated from the class-based politics, various anomalies have crept in and problem seen in its chain of command.

The leaders expressed this view while commenting on the political report presented in the meeting on Friday by the party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.Altogether 13 leaders spoke in today's meeting. They said that although it was an achievement for the Constituent Assembly issuing the constitution, not all classes and regions have got their rights, stressing the need of immediately addressing the Terai-Madhes movement and of the party taking the initiation for resolving the problem seen on delineation of the federal provinces.

The leaders also voiced their concerns saying the country's sovereignty and national integrity was in crisis. They suggested incorporating this issue in the party chairman's report.

The UCPN (Maoist) central committee will next meet on Monday. RSS
