KATHMANDU, July 6: Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security, Sher Bahadur Kunwar and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Nepal, Saeed Hamdan Al Naqbi held a meeting on Wednesday.
Ambassador Naqbi had reached the ministry on Wednesday to meet Minister Kunwar. They discussed ways to further strengthen Nepal-UAE relations. The talks between the two focused on easing the problems of Nepali migrant workers in the UAE, according to the minister’s personal secretariat.

On the occasion, Minister Kunwar informed Ambassador Naqbi that if there was any new proposal from the UAE on the issue of workers, the two countries would move forward in consultation with each other. He also called on large investors from the UAE to invest in Nepal's tourism industry, hydropower, medical education, engineering and service sector.
Minister Kunwar also said that he would send an invitation to the UAE Minister to visit Nepal after some time. He said that there was a plan to invite the UAE Minister to visit Nepal and discuss in detail the problems of Nepali workers. UAE Ambassador Naqbi thanked the minister for giving him the opportunity to meet.
