U. S.-funded survey shows improved women’s and children’s health over 20 years

KATHMANDU, Nov 13: The Ministry of Health released the U.S. Embassy-funded 2016 Nepal Demographic and Health Survey report, which highlighted Nepal’s progress over the last 20 years in improving maternal and child health.

Issuing a press release on Monday, the embassy has stated that in last 20 years the health condition of the mothers and the children have gradually improved in Nepal.


The Demographic and Health Survey was conducted with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and gathered data from more than 16,000 respondents throughout the country.
