JUMLA, June 6: Two wards of Chandannath Municipality in Jumla district have been sealed as the number of COVID-19 patients increased in the municipality.
Wards 2 and 3 of the municipality have been sealed in a bid to curb the growing number of COVID-19 cases.
According to Chief District Officer Bupendra Thapa, the decision was taken after people in the Unified Quarantine Center at Karnali Technical Educational Institute tested positive for COVID-19.
“In the first phase, these two wards (2 and 3) have been sealed to prevent further transmission of the deadly virus. The decision will be effective from June 5 to 7,” he added.
