Two swept away

UDAYAPUR, Aug 26: Two persons died after being swept away by rivers in Rumjatar VDC of Okhaldhunga following incessant rainfall on Wednesday.



Prem Shrestha, 41, of Jyamire VDC-8 was swept away by the Thotne River while Purnalaxmi Rai, 62, of Andheri Narayansthan-8 was swept away by the Sisne River, police said.



Police recovered their bodies on Thursday.



Locals say another person along with Shrestha was also swept away by the Thotne river. However, the person is yet to be identified and search is on, policeman Pravin Rai said.



Meanwhile, the body of an unidentified man was found on the banks of the Gagan River in Tulsipur-4, Siraha on Thursday afternoon. The body had completely decayed.



Police Inspector at District Police Office Narayan Chimariya said they buried the body in the presence of villagers on Thursday.



Police said the body was brought by the river.
