KATHMANDU, June 20: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested two more individuals in connection with the 60 kg gold smuggling case.
CIB Spokesman SP Hobindra Bogati announced that Manoj Shrestha and Rupak Bhandari, both 32 years old and residents of Bhaktapur district, have been apprehended.
"Our team arrested them at the Nepal-India border on charges related to the 60 kg gold smuggling case. Further investigation is currently underway," said Bogati.
With these latest arrests, the total number of people detained during the second phase of the investigation into the gold smuggling case has risen to 20.
