Two minors killed, three missing after boat sinks at Begnas Lake

POKHARA, April 3:
Two minors were killed and other three went missing after their boat sank at Begnas Lake in Lekhnath Municipality, Kaski district on Wednesday afternoon.



The boat, which was carrying eight persons, sank in the lake due to stormy weather condition at around 4 pm.[break]



According to Rabindra Paudel, Spokesperson at district Police office, Kaski, the deceased have been identified as Ivina Grung, 2, and  Anuska Gurung, 3, of Ram Bazar, Pokhara Municipality.  Both of them breathed their last at the Western Regional Hospital at Pokhara.



The missing in the incident are Prakash Gurung, 20, Sushma Gurung, 19, and Pushpa Gurung,35, of Ram Bazar. The deceased two minors were identified as daughters of missing Sushma Gurung.



Police said that it has launched the search operation to find the missing.
