KHOTANG, Dec 19: Bhakta Bahadur Sunuwar, a 27-year-old resident of Aiselukhark Rural Municipality-1, was apprehended by the police on Monday morning on the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl.
Acting on a complaint, which alleged that Sunuwar had committed the assault on December 13, the police from the temporary police post-Rakhawangde took him into custody.

Similarly, Sagar Shrestha, a 31-year-old resident of Shadanand Municipality-13 Mukhiya Tol, was arrested on Monday afternoon on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl.
The arrest was made based on a complaint stating that Shrestha had taken the girl to a millet field on the evening of December 14 and sexually assaulted her. The police, deployed from the District Police Office Bhojpur, conducted the arrest.
Investigations into both incidents are currently underway.
